It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

I know I know, I always say i love this time of the year, but truly I do. I love the baking, the cooking the getting together with family and friends. It is the realization that this time of year isn't all about ourselves but yet giving a piece of ourselves to share with the world and letting loved ones know how important they are to us. So with that sappy stuff said here is a pic of this years yummalicious treats :o)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween everyone! I know I know a day late, however needed to get the pics for the post sooo without further delay here are my kiddies costumes this year...

Hannah as "Handy Mandy" as she calls it, because she is a girl after all and girls can fix anything as well as boys.

Holley as Strawberry Shortcake loved making this one was just a reminder of my childhood I think

Hunter as Luke Skywalker, came out pretty good. It was a lot more sewing then I anticipated, considering I hardly ever use a pattern for anything. It took some discipline and encouragement from a friend to finish this one.

Hope as a butterfly princess, my favorite part of this one was the skirt. I can't believe how cheap these types of skirts are to make, or that I ever paid to buy them in the stores. Her favorite part of course was the fact that mommy painted her face with "real paint"!

Here are their coordinating trick or treat bags to match their costumes. They are cute reversible so now they can use them as little overnight bags or just a tote.

A very productive Halloween if I do say so myself

Super Day !!!

Ever wake up in the morning and think, Oh boy I really need to do something today, something fun, I mean so super fun that you get that tickly feeling in you belly?? Well that was me this morning Yayyyyyyyyy it's going to be a productive day. I did my running the kids to school trick, came home and enjoyed my first cup of coffee (which might I add is one of my most favorite things in the morning, almost cannot function without it). Measured and laid out the tulle for Hope's skirt. The next thing I know, the skirt done for her "Purple Butterfly Princess" costume.

***relieved, one less thing to finish before Halloween"

Then onto the "Too Much Chocolate Cake." I searched Allrecipes.com for a chocolate cake recipe and came across this one, and found this "Satiny Chocolate Glaze" to spread so deliciously over and down the sides of this utterly fattening, yummalicious bundt cake.

It was so gratifying to get these things done, and then reality hits me, scraps of fabric on the floor, dishes to wash, shopping to do and OMG Time to get the Kiddies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
